Happy Motivated Christmas

“Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more.”

From Dr Seuss – The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

Hello lovely people, well we have made it through another year of Motivation together.  I hope I have managed to make a difference for you and that the Motivators helped you get through your week.  I have been doing these for nearly 9 years now.  I started them after the February 2011 earthquakes in Christchurch. It was something I wanted to do to help at a time when people were really struggling.  So many people have told me that it has made a difference for them and that they look forward to this every Monday, so I have kept it going and going.  I will be having a break over Christmas as I do each year though, and will start up the Motivators again on 20th January.

My quote for Christmas comes from the wonderful Dr Seuss book, which has a fantastic message for us all.  Christmas is not about “stuff”, it’s about love, peace and goodwill to all and family togetherness.  I love that on Christmas Day, there is a special feeling in the world.  A feeling that the whole world is thinking and acting in the same way, wanting to show loving kindness to all.  It shows the power of collective thought, it creates it’s very own vibration that we can all feel part of.

I know, there are still stresses and strains on Christmas Day and kids will argue and break the new toys they just got, families can have old grudges surface, but that’s all part of the rich tapestry of life.  We are just humans getting along the best we can, trying to make our way in the world.  I like to think that Christmas Day is the one day we can try to be our best selves, think of others, think kind, loving thoughts, give to the poor, be grateful and thankful for all that we have and especially for the people in our lives.

May the joy of Christmas be in your heart this year and may you have a relaxing time doing what you love with the people you love.  I will be back in 2020, a new decade with whole new Motivators to get you through another exciting year of life.  Much love and best wishes to you and your family and thank you for subscribing to the Monday Motivator.
