Hello lovely Motivation seekers.  How did your week go?  Did you manage to follow some of last week’s tips and move ever so gently out of your comfort zone?  Get in touch and let me know, I love hearing from you and finding out how it’s going for you.

The quote this week is a great reminder for us and follows on from last week’s message of moving from your comfort zone.  Every time we do a big list of “things to do” and work on all the small, trivial stuff that we are comfortable with, we are in fact sabotaging ourselves.  Why on earth would we do that?  Why would we stop ourselves from achieving the things we want to achieve?

There are lots and lots of reasons for this, it will vary from one person to the next.  What is mostly behind it is fear – it may be fear of failure, fear of success, fear of getting it wrong, not being good enough ….etc etc.  Another big reason is perfectionism, which also usually stems from a feeling of not being good enough.  Recognising this and where it has come from is the first step.  Then making changes is the next step.  As Tony Robbins says “if we keep doing what we’ve always done, we’ll keep getting what we’ve always got.”  If we want things to be different, we have to be different.

So, if your productivity is not what it should be, ask yourself what needs to change?  What do you need to do more off, less off, start doing, stop doing or do completely differently?  Do you have a big “to do” list every day and only ever get the “small” stuff out of the way, and start the next day with an even bigger list?  That just leads to overwhelm, burn out and a feeling of failure.  One tip I have for you is to look at your list and work out which things on it are really important, mark off the first 3 and do them first or at least do them at a time when you are at your most productive.  These will be the things that make a big difference for you, so keeping the trivia to the bottom of the list is going to get you where you want to go.  Click on this link: business_coaching_-_urgent_important_matrix_v3 for the Steve Covey urgent/important matrix, to help you with this.

Hope you have a brilliant week and manage to make some changes and have a super productive week.  Click here to contact me if you want to comment on any of this or ask anything about it.
