Hi everyone and welcome to this week’s Monday Motivator about setting intentions. When clients first decide to start coaching with me, things start changing for them before they even have their first session! Why is that? Sounds a bit weird doesn’t it? It’s because they have already set an intention in place that things are going to change and get better, their lives will have more balance or that their businesses will be more profitable or that they will be less stressed or that they will be more confident. Any or all of those can start happening as soon as you intend for them to happen.
Making intentions for your future, even if it is only one day at a time, or even one minute at a time produces massive differences for you. That’s what I want to inspire you to try this week. Just making an intention each day for some area of your life, career or business that you know could improve. Once you have identified an area that you want to improve, think about how you are being in this aspect of your life. You may have given up. Maybe you have been feeling like a victim – a “poor me” attitude. Maybe you are feeling hurt or angry. It is important to discover what your feelings are, what emotions are at play in this. Then your next step is to consider how you would like to be in this aspect of your life. Would you like to be strong? Would you like to be more loving? Would you like to be more accepting? Whatever you want, that is what you make your daily intention. Don’t let any excuses get in the way. Put it out to the Universe whichever way works for you and focus on that intention all day, every day……I guarantee you will start to see changes.
If you are finding this hard to believe and thinking all the reasons why this won’t work, I want you to let that go and in the words of our quote, believe the ONE reason why it will. That’s all it takes to get started.
If nothing else, try using the Reiki mantra: “Just for today, let go of anger, let go of worry, be grateful, work hard, be kind to others. Repeat this at the start of each day and during the day as it springs to mind or you feel you need it. It gives a blueprint for a happy and successful day.
