Think Big, Dream Big!

“Think big, dream big, believe big and the results will be big.”

Hello Motivation Seekers, how are you?  I hope you had a fabulous week and that last week’s post on delegation was helpful to you.  Let me know if you still need help with any of it.

Think big!

This week, I had been thinking about how much we limit ourselves and most of the time, we don’t even realise that we are doing it.  So when I found this quote, it was perfect.  It totally fits in with the thought/belief model that I use in my coaching.

This applies to everything.  Everything we do begins with a belief/emotion or thought.  Those beliefs, emotions and thoughts then feed into the actions we take, which in turn feeds into the results we get, which loops back and reinforces the initial beliefs/emotions and thoughts.  Our quote tells us that to get big results, we need to think and believe big.  The opposite is also true.  If we think and believe small, then we will get small results.  Let’s not do that!

Thoughts dictate our actions and results.

Then it stands to reason that if we want to get better results, we should start with better thoughts.  Is it possible to do that, if you have gone through life thinking small, defeated, fearful thoughts and always struggled with everything?  Well yes, it is possible.  It’s the main reason I got into coaching, to help others transform their lives through transforming their mindsets.  It is the thing I love most of all in my coaching work, because it can have the biggest impact.

3 Tips to get started on mindset transformation

  1. Grow your self awareness.  You can do this through journalling or practising mindfulness.  It helps you discover patterns of thoughts and beliefs that aren’t serving you well.
  2. Practise affirmations – powerful statements that turn those limiting thoughts and beliefs into beliefs that empower you and help you take actions and get results that get you where you want to go, instead of holding you back.
  3. Practise Visualisation – let yourself dream big.  Let yourself see a crystal clear vision of what you want, how you want your life/business/career to be.  Be very detailed about this.  Engage all your senses, so it becomes very real to you.  Do these visualisations every day, until your brain starts to get the idea that it is do-able for you.  It can be helpful to do a vision board as well, so you can focus on the things you want each and every day.

I promise if you can start doing these 3 things, you can’t help but attract great things to you.  Thinking big, will result in taking big actions and getting big results.  Why would you not?
